About Al Rawdah
Al Rawdah is an Arabic word which means Lush, Meadows, Greenery and is also a metaphor for ‘fresh and promising beginnings’.
From this word we take inspiration and offer all our students the opportunity to have a fresh beginning, flourish and progress in acquiring their sacred Islamic education and upbringing, in accordance to the message and teachings of our religion.
Al Rawdah aims to produce exemplary students and individuals with a passion for serving and bringing positive changes within their communities. Serving the community is a responsibility which all of the noble Prophets & Messengers of Allah carried, and therefore we see it as our fundamental right that we impart to our students that knowledge and education which is deemed fit to the communities, understanding and acknowledging modern and current challenges.
Al Rawdah do not compromise in quality and standards of teaching this sacred knowledge. At Al Rawdah, we are planting the seeds today, for the fruits of tomorrow.
Educational Departments at Al Rawdah
Rawdatul Atfaal
Rawdatul Atfaal is the Islamic supplementary school department (Maktab) which runs each Saturday and Sunday for children 4–16 years old, 10am–1pm.
During these sessions the children study Islamic studies, learn to recite the Quraan, memorise essential invocations and chapters from the Holy Quraan and study spoken Arabic. In addition, the children also embark on a unique life skills programme designed and tailored at Al-Rawdah, enabling the young mind to develop and prepare for life of independency.
At Al Rawdah we also pride ourselves in being one of the only Madrasahs to teach Arabic as a spoken language (not to be mistaken with the method (Tajweed) of Quraan recitation), which has unfortunately become a forgotten subject in the madrasah system today.
Our Islamic education along with Quraan recitation is taught with very high expectations and delivered by qualified teachers and educators to ensure high standards are maintained.
In order to maintain our high standards of teaching and education, any enrolment and application process will only be open to children 4 yrs of age.
If a child from school year 3 and above wishes to join Al-Rawdah, they must first meet the standards and suitability through a placement test.
Rawdatu Tahfeezil Quraan
Rawdatu Tahfeezil Quraan is the Quraan memorisation department which runs each Saturday and Sunday for children 8+ and mature adults, 10am – 1pm.
This department offers students the opportunity to embark on a journey of memorising the entire Quraan by heart following a well structured syllabus, designed for a weekend setup. Our Hifz programme has also been devised to allow a student to compete the memorisation of the enitre Quraan in just 6 years, if the structure and plan is adhered to. All students are also assesed prior to starting the memorisation. Based on this, the students are then allowed to begin the Hifz of the Quraan or advised to undergo the Tajweed course first.
This department has also been setup with the aim of offering an opportunity to students who have previously memorised the complete Quraan but cannot find time during the week to revise and go over it. Our teachers help these students by listening to them and at times allocating them with a listening partner who may help with revision.
Rawdatul Lagatil Arabiyyah
This is the Arabic language department which is run by Excel Arabic on behalf of Al-Rawdah. Learning opportunities are available for:

Adults during weekdays evenings, 7.30pm–9.30pm/10pm depending on the level of study – APPLY ONLINE
